i make art quilts. new ideas come at me like bike messengers in a big city.

in particular, i am interested in pop-culture ephemera--fragments of nostalgia reconstructed with unsuspected materials (a sports pennant, a trashy paperback, novelty underwear) onto a vertical plane.

in the future, i will incorporate my new interest in physical computing into my artquilts for a mind-bending mash-up of traditonal women's skills vs high-tech electronics, handicrafts vs machines, last century vs next century, indeed girls against boys....stay tuned!
