Lake quilts

I make my lake quilts from large pieces of fabric--no tiny squares of calico for me. I often use bold, vibrant colors to caputure the vibrant vibe of Lake George, but I am also a fan of the moody gray days and enjoy using silks to convey those days as well.

Why quilts? Well, they speak of comfort, of home, of security, of peace. It's a way to wrap yourself up in the lake. It's a way to banish the homesick-for-the-lake mid-winter blues. It's a way to stay warm, body and soul.
